Use of graphics isn't all bad, they dress up your site and make it attractive to your visitors. However too much dependence on graphics and your site will load so slow that that people will move on. This is a fact, most people won't wait longer than a few seconds before they'll give up on a page that is still not loaded. Sometimes it may not even be the design that's at fault. It often happens that the server is so over loaded with requests or your site is so popular that it doesn't load immediately. But if your site loads quickly you have a better chance of keeping the visitor's attention. Using these fonts as a guide, we can make your webpages more versatile without heavy dependance on graphics for variety. Because no graphics are used on this page, it loads very quickly. That is, unless your modem or line speed is slow and then it still loads much faster than just about anything else. If any of the fonts below looks exactly like the Times New Roman font, then you dont have that font. However, these fonts come with Windows 95 and therefore should be installed on any Windows 95 PC that visits your site. You can also use different colors. If you want to use a font that is not on this list, it is best to use a graphic. You would want to do this for your company logo, page headers, etc.. By keeping the graphics to a minimum your pages will load faster and your guests will stick around to see what you're about.
